"SEC announces that Crypto liquid staking activities are not considered securities" - This news is rarely mentioned in the CT Chinese community, but I believe it should not be overlooked, as it is likely to drive another LSD summer.
The SEC's stance on LSD indicates that LSD assets will not be subject to the constraints of the securities regulatory framework, which, in my view, is far more beneficial than detrimental for the LSD sector.
For projects like @LidoFinance and @jito_sol, this reduces regulatory uncertainty risks and potential compliance costs, while a more relaxed environment and greater freedom are likely to stimulate underlying innovation.
This is a favorable policy-level and politically correct benefit for the LSD sector. Looking back at the LSD sector, the total TVL has reached as high as $67 billion, indicating that the sector has matured significantly.
I have reason to believe that many projects are quietly positioning themselves for potential opportunities in the LSD sector, as making micro-innovations in a mature sector is not difficult.
