Eclipse (🐮,🌑)
Today, Eclipse Labs announced team and leadership changes to align with a new direction post-TGE. Over the past months, we’ve explored opportunities for application development on the network. Going forward, we’ll prioritize building a breakout application on top of Eclipse’s L2 infrastructure, with more details to come.
As part of this transition, @0xSydney will assume the role of CEO following the voluntary departure of @0xLitquidity. To align resources with our updated strategy, we have reduced our workforce by 65%. This difficult decision was made to give Eclipse the flexibility needed to execute on its next chapter.
Eclipse’s mission to bring web2-scale applications onchain remains unchanged. We look forward to continuing this journey with our community, token holders, and stakeholders.

Alucard
Yes, I was also let go. I will no longer continue as Community Lead for Eclipse.
Now that the news are out, let me share the answers to some common FAQs:
Did I decide the ASC TGE allocation?
No, this was not my decision. I was against this amount and fought back internally.
The Eclipse leadership team did not listen to me. If it were up to me, I would had given 2-3% of the $ES supply to ASC holders.
The new Eclipse CEO (Sydney) was the one who decided the airdrop allocations for TGE, including the ASC allocation of 330 $ES.
What about ASC?
Duke and I have been supporting the ASC floor with over 35 ETH ($160k+) in buybacks since TGE. This is all coming from ASC, Eclipse has not provided any support.
ASC Treasury now owns 11.3% of the supply. We bought over 1,000+ ASCs back since TGE.
Duke and I will decide what's next for ASC over the coming weeks.
Will Eclipse build any new utility for ASC in any of its upcoming products?
That will be up to Sydney as the new Eclipse CEO to decide.
What about GEM?
The BITZ team decided to cancel the collab the moment they learned the BITZ Liquidity Program was going to stop.
I have no idea if the program is restarting or not. Again, not my decision to stop it or restart it. It will be up to Sydney to decide if Eclipse will restart the program.
Did I sell any ASCs or ES?
No. I have never sold a single ASC on Scope, and my $ES tokens are locked.
Was I made into the TGE scapegoat by Eclipse?
Yes. I personally feel like I was stabbed in the back by Eclipse.
I took all the public hate and blame for decisions I was against and were outside of my control to make.
I was never part of the "Leadership Team" at Eclipse, my job as "Community Lead" was to communicate their decisions to the rest of the community and provide community feedback to better inform those leadership decisions.
Ultimately they were not my decisions to make.
I dealt with endless personal attacks and hate for decisions I was against, I took them all on the chin without complain, and even after all that, Eclipse decided to let me go with this recent restructure.
I am proud of the work I did at Eclipse as Community Lead, the insane community that was built. Ultimately, I agree with @goatnataaaaa and many others regarding their perspectives in how the Eclipse leadership team decided to reward its community.
I wish Sydney and the remaining Eclipse team the best of luck in the future.
